Charles Arthur George Satterthwaite
Born 1890, Hampstead, son of Charles and Elizabeth; father was foreman lamplighter in 1901/ 1911. An Old Boy of HPS, Charles was a neighbour of the Shurety family (also see) in the tenements in Back Lane in 1891. By 1911 he was a self-employed boot repairer with one assistant at 80 High Street. (The business was continued until at least 1921 by his brother after his death.) Commemorated on the War Memorial in Church Row.
