Born 1888 in Stoke Newington, one of 8 children of Arthur William and Lydia Adelaide Rose, of 18 Campden Buildings, Heath St/ Holly Bush Vale, Hampstead. Father was a bus conductor, then a painter, mother a dressmaker. Albert was an old boy of HPS. Commemorated on the War Memorial in Church Row.
