Son of Mrs. Mary E. Payne and the late Edward Stableford Payne, of 45 Rosslyn Hill, Hampstead. Commemorated in ABG at grave J027; found in the Parish magazine, but not commemorated on the Church Row War Memorial. [The Payne family may have connections with Hampstead from before the end of the 18th century, and at least until 1949. There are still Paynes on the electoral roll today. Are these related?]
