Son of William Robt and Charlotte Hurst, of 23 Church Walk, Hampstead; father was a carman with London General. Fred (16), b Islington, was a draper’s porter. By time of his death family had moved to 33 Gayton Road (where res until after 1921). Family (parents, two sisters and younger brother) were members of congregation. Rouen was a hospital centre, so assume he could have been wounded and treated before he died. Commemorated on the War Memorial in Church Row.
