One of six children of Richard (gardener, d 1890s) and Sarah Lilley, caretaker of St John Mission Hall, Holly Bush Vale/ Heath Street, Hampstead (1911, 1921). Thomas (b 1880 Hampstead) was an Old Boy of HPS. In 1911 was a Gunner (single, aged 30), with R Bty RHA in Meerut, India. About 1912/ 1914 married Charlotte May Lilley (formerly Goflin), of Ashfield, NSW Australia. One of the first two to die from Hampstead. Commemorated on the War Memorial in Church Row.
